What is CRLV Digital?
It is nothing more than your CRLV vehicle document, only in a digital version.
As of May 8, 2020, the document is no longer printed and can be accessed directly on your smartphone.

What is the difference between CRLV Digital and ATPV-e?
CRLV-e (CRVL Digital) replaces the car document, the one sent to drivers every year after licensing.
However, the ATPV-e replaces the old CRV (Vehicle Registration Certificate), another document that the driver receives as soon as he acquires the car.
This document is the one that must be signed at a notary whenever the vehicle is transferred to another — and that many people used to lose.

Does taking CRLV Digital cost more?
You will be able to print as many documents as you want in your own home and completely free of charge. Drivers must still pay IPVA, licensing and DPVAT, but they will not have to pay anything to access the electronic documents.
But beware: it is only possible to access the digital version if the vehicle has no outstanding debt.
Is it possible to use different applications to access the CRLV-e?
No, the only app that should be used to download and access your electronic documents is the CDT (Carteira Digital de Trânsito).
Pay close attention to the name of the application provider within the native Google or Apple store: “Governo do Brasil” must be included.
Do not use other means, as they may compromise your private data.
How to transfer vehicle from now on?
Vehicles licensed up to January 4, 2021, must still follow the standard procedure of registering the CRV at a notary. Models licensed after that date will already have their ATPV-e.
To make the transfer, you need to access the official Detran website for your state and fill in the future owner's data within the system, issuing the QR Code.
In certain states it is still necessary to have the ATPV-e notarized, but gradually this process will be electronic 100%.

Who does not have CNH can download the CDT?
Yes, any user can access the app. Despite the name being a little confusing, the CDT gathers both the vehicle document and the National Driver's License.
Within it, it is possible to see the fines of the vehicle and the registered driver and share the CRLV-e by adding the CPF of the owners you receive.
Can I print more than one CRLV-e?
The answer is yes! It is also possible to share the electronic version of the document with other drivers who have the CDT app on their smartphone, as long as you have the CPF of the others.
It is even recommended for vehicles used by different drivers.
Can I print CRLV Digital on plain paper?
Yes, as long as all data is 100% visible, especially your QR Code.
It is through this that the transit authority will verify the authenticity.
Do you need internet to access CRLV-e?
Only on the first access, when downloading the document on the cell phone. The file will then be stored encrypted on your smartphone and can be opened at any time, even without internet access.
Who has more than one vehicle can have multiple documents in the CDT?
Yes, as long as they are all registered in the name of the same owner. The owner is the one who can issue the document and share it with other drivers.
Vehicle documents will be centralized in the owner's CDT App.
If my cell phone with the CDT runs out of battery, can I be fined?
If at least you don't have the CRLV printed, yes. The authority or traffic inspector will need to access the printed QR Code to check authenticity.
It is the driver's full responsibility to present the documents, whether digitally or printed. The tip is to leave the printed document in your wallet or in the glove compartment of the car.
